Tips for Snowboard Holidays
Often people think that in order to have a great winter vacation snowboarding you need to go to one of the resorts mentioned above. I would say, while it's true that you will have a great time at these resorts, there are a few other factors to consider. For a great vacation you really depend on the weather, if you want to go off piste it's much more fun in 8 feet of snow and plenty of fresh powder. Another thing to factor in when planning your vacation is how busy will the place be. Personally I don't like to visit resorts when there are school holidays or Spring Break on. Crowds lead to queues at lift areas, packed slopes, and an increased probability of getting hit by a beginner. Choose your dates carefully. If you are starting off, it may be more beneficical to take 2 shorter trips as opposed to one long one. When you start to snowboard you will learn that you are now using muscles that you've never used before and after 2 or 3 days your body will be asking for a rest.
